If Gino, Anya, Cornelia, Guilford and the 12 others told about in rumors, end up betraying Britannia and joining the Order of the Black Knights, i'm just going to stop wasting my time with this show.

It just doesn't make any fucking logical sense anymore. If it's true, Geass R2 will be no better than DESTINY. Like I said once we saw another Geass, too much is a bad thing. The show went from Mecha/Drama to Science Fiction. It's bad too, littered with plotholes and inconstancies to the point where Shirley might as well not actually be dead, because nothing connects anymore.

If all of the latest rumors are true, this will be the biggest anime disappointment since DESTINY.

So it's completely downhill spiraling. Sayoko being a full fledged ninja isn't a running gag, it's actually legit. What happened to the seriousness of this show!?

Also: HOLY SHIT, IS THIS... IS THIS WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR FOR THREE WEEKS!?

It's Official. Nothing makes fucking sense. Lelouch doesn't plan shit anymore (I should say they don' so it) so shit just MAGICALLY IS PREPARED FOR EVERYTHING, more fucking Duex Ex machina. I can't even take the show seriously.

And WHAT THE FUCK JEREMIAH!? ARE. YOU. FUCKING. KIDDING. ME!!??

This show PALES OUTRIGHT in comparison to Season 1, and in fact I'd like to think it isn't directly canon, because the bullshit that happenes with everyone and the character development is all pretty much thrown out the windows from Season 1.

I used to feel for the characters, now i'm just pretty much watching it to see how far the rabbit hole goes.

Code Geass R2 is the next coming of Gundam SEED Destiny. (Better, in many ways. But also VERY similar in many ways)

This shit is just ridiculous, I almost can't watch it anymore.

Chapter 3: Born from the Ashes

“T-The Ashbringer?” Renault leaned back in the chair, “I’ve heard of it before, some w-weapon used before the creation of Nestral, right? It’s a myth though.”

“And what would you say, if I told you that the Ashbringer wasn’t just a myth, but fact; and that it ties into the very heart and soul of this land?” retorted the nobleman as Renault’s face contorted in a brief moment of disbelief. “Do you remember the legend of Ashbringer?”

“Yes Sir, it was found by the Nestral family as they were perused by Loegos forces near by what’s now the Greymane Wall. I forget the legend exactly, it’s been so long, but a great warrior used it to cut a path through the desert, to reach the northern shores of Monesech, cutting down all of the denizens of the desert that stood in the people’s path. Eventually stopping where the first cities of Nestral were founded on and what is now where Geldoblame’s capital lies. The warrior who used it was the leader of the Seven Cursed Blades, the protectors of our people in years past. The Seven Cursed Blades are formed when Geldoblame needs them the most, they’re a symbol of hope when all else looks bleak.”

“That’s right Renault. What if I told you however that the Ashbringer wasn’t lost after that event in time, but has been safely guarded by the royal families ever since Nestral and eventually Geldoblame’s creation? And every time Geldoblame has needed a hero, we’ve used the Ashbringer?”

Something finally clicked in Renault’s mind, the tone of the Thane; he was already thinking a step ahead. “Are you saying you want me to wield the legendary blade, the Ashbringer!? B-but what have I-” Renault was stopped short when the Thane held up his hand.

“It may not be the best or most obvious choice, but it is fate Renault Krieger. It is fate that you wield the Ashbringer, fate that you reform the Seven Cursed Blades, and vanquish the Antlion onslaught that endangers Geldoblame, bringing us into prosperity. Surely you remember the vicious plague that ravaged Geldoblame, the Heuschrecken.”

That sole word changed Renault’s demeanor. His parents fell to the disease, and Renault himself nearly did as well before the alliance between Loegos and Geldoblame created the vaccine. It’s been about fifteen years since the vaccine was created, the massed cured, the country saved. But Geldoblame was crushed by it, with the disease killing over 50% of the total population, the military severely weakened and its economy in shambles. “Maybe, this is fate. They always say the coming of the Seven Cursed Blades is an omen of good things to come…” Renault thought to himself, still saddened by the mere mention of Heuschrecken.

“I’ll do it!” Renault threw his hands onto the desk and stood up all at once. “Milord! I will take up whatever curse for my nation! My people! Let me wield the Ashbringer! Please!”

The Thane, still seated interlocked his fingers, covering his mouth with his hands and leaned back. “Are you sure?” questioned Janus in a snide tone of voice, Renault nodded. “Then my boy, you must come with me. Our fates are now and forever intertwined.” Janus spoke as he stood up, tossing his cloak aside as he led Renault out of this room, through the Hall of Kings, and back into the throne room. He clapped twice, and two royal guards came running.

“Yes, milord! What is it you need?” said the guards in unison bowing graciously to his majesty.

“Take this young man to the guest chambers, introduce him to our guest.” Janus turned to Renault, “Renault, follow these two, I will be with you shortly, I must go where only royalty can enter.” And with that the Thane walked past Renault and headed east towards a gorgeous metal spiral staircase, the railings all adorned with gemstones and heraldry symbols of the Legault family.

Renault was led by the two royal guards up to western spiral staircase, up 12 floors, until they reached floor number thirteen. The one guard extended his left arm into the hallway, but blocking the staircase’s path further up, “Mr. Krieger, the first room on the left side after you pass the fountain in the center is your chambers for the evening.” Renault nodded and saluted both men before stepping into the thirteenth floor.

Renault slowly took in his surrounds; the entire floor was adorned in ivory, a beautiful sight that Martel herself would be amazed by. Renault slowly stumbled through the hall, stopping at the working fountain at the thirteenth floor! It was an obsidian statue of a young man, holding his arm up towards the sky, his hand open almost as to offer something to the sky. The statue’s other arm held close to its side, with an antique fashion blade in its grasp. Water encircled the statue, adding to the imposing feel, “Wow…” were the only words that can escape from Renault, standing in front of this fountain in complete awe. Nearly five more minutes had passed before Renault overcame the enthrallment that the statue had, and headed towards his chambers.

He came to the doorsill, which was covered by velvet, Renault rubbed his hand against it and the door cracked open slightly, he applied more pressure onto the door opening it. Quickly his nose recognized the spell of smoke, and as the door opened completely he noticed a man’s back facing the door while he was facing a window, slightly bent over leaning on the windowsill. Removing the pipe from his mouth, he moved his head ever so slight, just enough to see Renault, “Come on inside kid, I’m not going to hurt you.” Spoke the man, his deep voice making Renault a bit shaken, still standing in the doorway.

“Well come on now. Sit down why don’t ya? I’ll pour you a drink.” Man at the window said, now turning around completely to see Renault clearly. “…Do you drink?” the man eyed Renault over once “You look a bit too young for what’s here.” scoffing softly, “Well kid, what’s your name?”

Renault immediately walked into the middle of the room, and snapped into attention, clicking his boots together and saluting the man in front of him. “Renault S. Krieger, Specialist of the Arunafeltz Rangers!”

“A Ranger eh? Wow, for being such a young kid that’s quite a feat to accomplish… he can’t be your run-of-the-mill soldier then…” the older man thought to himself before speaking to Renault. “Oh great, a young kid who thinks he’s a soldier. You can drop the formalities, I’m no soldier…” the older man paused for a second, “Well Renault S. Krieger, here’s your drink.” The man handed Renault a small glass worth of liquor, the strong smell causing Renault to flinch slightly as he went to drink it. With a short breath, he drank the entire contents in one gulp and put the glass down on the small table in the middle of the room.

“…And you didn’t have to drink it all at once. This isn’t a tavern, you’ll get sick that way – heh heh!” laughed the older man who spun the glass with his wrist slightly to spin the liquor in his glass before taking a sip. “The name’s Lucius, Lucius Del Martoux. And it looks like we’ll be traveling buddies from here on…” Lucius rose his glass up above eye level, “Cheers.” Lucius said coldly, drinking the remaining liquor in one gulp, like Renault had done just prior.

“P-Partners? For what? I was told that I would be meeting Thane Janus here.” Renault questioned Lucius, sitting down in one of the two elaborate chairs in the room, his head slightly spinning from that drink. “I don’t like this smug bastard already, I don’t think this is going to go well, I better not even tell him about what his Majesty and I talked about earlier…” Renault thought to himself as he rubbed his temple briefly.

“Well then kid, it seems we’ve both not been told the full story. I too was told I would be seeing his lordship here. That was nearly four hours ago, I started drinking his liquor over there on the side-table about forty-five minutes in. I figure if he didn’t want me to drink it, he wouldn’t have let me stay here.”

“He still didn’t answer my question… partners in what?” Renault thought to himself as he narrowed his eyes at Lucius before noticing the other bottles on top of the side-board. “Then those empty bottles-” Renault was cut short.

“Yeah, those were full when I was escorted in here.” Lucius chucked a bit at the thought of drinking three full bottles of the Thane’s liquor, “Mighty good too. Shame this is the last bottle.” Lucius held up the last bottle of liquor, with only about a fifth of it remaining. “Oh well, I guess I’ll save the rest for his highness when he comes up to see us… eventually.” Lucius sat down in the chair next to Renault’s and looked outside at the busy streets of Levantine, while Renault in turn looked over Lucius.

Despite currently looking only at the side of him, Renault analyzed his “partner”. Lucius was a good few inches taller than Renault himself was, probably close to six feet in height. Lucius’ was in excellent shape for a man of his age, probably close to his mid-thirties; and Renault had already gotten a good look at his face. Lucius had must have had a hard life, remembering the noticeable strain marks and scars on his face, even visible through his thick facial hair. His beard wasn’t long it clung to his jaw, but was still thick and had an odd mix of black and grey pigment. Despite being in his mid-thirties, Lucius still had a full set of hair too, salt & pepper color, stopping a few inches from the collar of his tunic all nicely tied back into a ponytail. Unlike Renault, who was in Arunafeltz-military regalia, this man was in clothing slightly better than rags. Lucius was in dark blue pants. They didn’t look like leather, but were thicker than most cloth leggings. His shirt was just a basic dark blue tunic as well, not even tucked into his pants to look presentable to royalty. His boots were filthy no less, unpolished like Renault’s were.

“I wonder how Lucius has ties to the Thane anyway. I really doubt that royalty would even speak to someone looking like such.” Renault thought in his head, still eyeing Lucius.

“Hmm, the kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders though, he’s smart enough to be inspecting me. Looks like the military is still teaching them well enough, maybe this won’t be babysitting after all.” Lucius thought to himself, having noticed Renault’s attempts to nonchalantly eye him immediately.

The two men stayed in the room silent to each other for another forty minutes, until there was a loud knock at the door. “His highness is preparing to enter! Show the proper respect!” yelled a voice behind the door, most likely a royal guardsman. Renault quickly took over his hat and threw it onto the table, and brought himself down to one knee, like he had done prior. As the door opened, he looked to his right and surprisingly enough saw Lucius doing the exact same.

“His Majesty, Thane Janus Legault!” yelled the voice again, as the Thane entered the room.

“Arise, devoted of Arunafeltz.” Janus spoke proudly. Renault and Lucius brought their heads up and both saw the noble carrying a large two-handed broadsword in his arms. Janus walked forward, and placed the flat side of the blade onto Renault’s right shoulder, and then to his left.

“Arise! Sir Krieger, wielder of the Ashbringer!” proclaimed Janus, his deep voice echoing into the hall.

Lucius turned his head at Renault being knighted, his eyes opening up and his mouth opening in complete and absolute astonishment thinking to himself “You’re telling me, that this kid, is the new Ashbringer!?”

Pretty obvious storyline, Earth is destroyed by 2010 by Nuclear War (not started by America, but taken out on America [ie: first victim] - the original downfall is because of... indirectly Global Warming and the Earth's 7 Billion Population), over 5 Billion dead from the nuclear attacks alone. And it's one man's tale of survival during the fallout. As a Survivalist, I enjoy the realism it has, the grim plotline, and undertones about Humanity. The author hand draws it too, so while each comic takes longer to be released, it's more satisfying to read.

Code geass is wasted potential. They could easily do a wicked comedy episode with the Black Knights with Ougi, Toudo, Chiba and that Tamaki guy is more funny than all the shit that happens at the school put together. Instead they do dumb shit like enroll Knight of Rounds at a fucking school, what next? Emperor Wakamoto works in the cafeteria undercover? it's stupid. The plot FINALLY started moving, we had the rebellion move forward and started to get into a bit of Geass stuff then BAM back to the fucking school to waste time on Shirley. It's just repeating what happened in season 1, we have already seen shirley's melodrama, the whole point of it was to show Lelouch that he hurts his friends and he lost one. You are not supposed to fucking get that back, it makes that "lesson" pointless. And what's worse is they are pushing a pairing where he killed her dad. Fuck me, you do not kill a girl's dad and then get to date her. It's just not on.

The announcement is that Deathknights are going LIVE in a patch in early fall, playable for those who pre order through their online store (and select retailers)! You’ll still need the expansion to level to 80, but the intent is to give those customers a chance to level their Deathknight to the current level cap so they’ll be able to play with friends on launch day. This is their solution to “4 million Deathknights looking for healer” on launch day, and also gives players a little more content to hold them over until the full launch.

Seriously. The Order of the Black Knights always win, it's boring, and it's getting to the point where they win out of nowhere, with magically some new weapon that just-so-happens to vaporize all of the enemy units, and we never see the OotBK ever take any losses. Ever.

Shit's getting boring. Hopefully with Kallen captured and transported to Homeland Britannia they'll either kill her or maybe Charles will use the Geass and brainwash her into hating her Japanese heritage, not her American heritage, and become a Britannian Ace.
